Sometimes it's just so funny when kids chronically mispronounce things. Scott's latest is Nutrigrain bars. He consistently calls them "Graitrinune bars" no matter how many times we coach him on the right way. When Claire was little she called helicopters "hop-poo-coppers." What is your favorite kid mispronunciation?
The thing that comes to mind is not really a mispronunciation but a confusion of pronouns.
ReplyDeleteNephew: I can't get me!
Me: Yes, I can!
Nephew: No, I can't!
He was two. Now he is three and much more terrible than he was when he was two.

Oh and Madison calls creamcheese "bagel frosting" -sweet.
Love it! Sometime I don't want to correct them because the I love their own version. My very favorite from my kids is "Am-ee-uhl" for animal. Ella started it and the boys say it now too. I love it everytime. I also love that my Tucker says "eye browns" for eye brows. Someday when they start reading they're realize it and correct it themselves and I'll miss it, I know. Fun, fun post!
ReplyDeleteOur best was Nathan trying to say the name of his favorite dino:

A neighborhood kid uses a Y for R's at the end of words like: strolly/Stroller, Fathey/Father, waty/water. It's so cute.
